BP Research Fellowship Trust

The BP Research Fellowships Trust is a charitable trust which is connected to the RSE.  It was created in 1988 following a donation of £2m from BP to support a scheme of three-year (now 5 year), post-doctoral research fellowships in specified subjects in Scottish Higher Education Institutions, which are awarded at the sole discretion of the RSE.  The RSE President, General Secretary and Treasurer are the BP Trustees ex officiis.
