The Activities

1	The Young Academy will offer a high level of visibility and recognition to a key group of Scotland’s most talented younger academics and professionals. The Young Academy will offer a unique range of activities that are intended to complement, extend and strengthen activities already available to younger academics and professionals in Scotland.
2	Through a range of meetings, seminars and workshops it will foster interdisciplinary collaboration and career development, contribute to policy development for specific disciplines and broader societal issues, develop strong international links with Young Academies elsewhere in Europe, and undertake public engagement and outreach, especially with younger people.
3	The Young Academy will give particular emphasis to interdisciplinary working amongst the academic disciplines and the professions. Networking with industry and encouraging entrepreneurial activity will be given special prominence.
