Monday 11 July 2005 at 6pm.
Professor John Mitchell OBE FRS, Chief Scientist, Met Office
Attitudes to human induced climate change range from believing that future changes will be small and easily manageable by technology to fears that we have only a few years to act to save the planet. The lecture included a description of the science behind human induced climate change and indicated what is well-founded and where the main uncertainties lie, in an attempt to put the issue into perspective.
