The Cuban Academy of Sciences
The Cuban Academy of Sciences was originally formed in 1861 but came into being in its present structure in April 1996.
The Royal Society of Edinburgh is pleased to announce that it signed an informal agreement in Havana in September 2005 with the Cuban Academy of Sciences. This agreement marks the beginning of increased collaboration between the two national academies and the research communities in their respective countries. When the Open Programme of international exchange visits is available, we will invite applications for researchers in Scotland and Cuba to collaborate further on different projects of mutual interest. Please check the RSE website regularly to know of relevant closing dates
Under this informal agreement, there is no provision for Bilateral, cost-sharing exchanges. However, when available, applications through the Open Programme are welcome.
