The Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters
The Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters was founded in 1742 and its present structure came into operation in 1999.
The Academy signed an informal agreement with The Royal Society of Edinburgh in Edinburgh in May 2000 to encourage increased links between researchers in both countries.
The Academy was one of the joint organisers of a Conference on Human Rights, held at the RSE in April 2003. The issues discussed during the conference helped illuminate how the study of human rights in theory and in practice must be combined if we are to arrive at a fuller picture of how best to advance human rights protection in Scotland, Scandinavia and the wider world.
Under this informal agreement, there is no provision for Bilateral, cost-sharing exchanges. However, when available, applications through the Open Programme are welcome.
