The charitable purpose of the Foundation is to advance the education of the public in Scotland in science, engineering or technology. Events organisers are therefore welcome to hold events that align with this purpose.

The Foundation also permits limited use of its facilities for events which align with the Society's broader charitable purpose, which is the "advancement of learning and useful knowledge".

If your event aligns with these purposes and does not involve any commercial or political activities or benefits, please contact the Foundation to establish room availability and cost. If you are unsure whether or not your event aligns with the charitable purposes mentioned, staff will be pleased to provide advice.
