Advice for Speakers
To make the best use of the equipment available in the centre
we suggest that speakers observe the following guidance:
|
|
Please ensure that
acetates, prints or Powerpoint slides contain text in not
less than 16pt, particularly in the Lecture Theatre where
because of its size those seated in the back rows are a
long way from the screen. Powerpoint presentations to be
saved as Powerpoint 2000 or Powerpoint97. |
|
Ensure that material to be
projected does not run to the borders of the page. |
|
The visualiser may also be
used and works well with printed paper rather than
acetates. |
|
Any item to be used with
the visualiser should be in landscape rather than portrait
format. |
|
If using a computer-based
presentation we suggest that light lettering on a dark
background works best, and red print is worst! |
|
The conference centre has a
dedicated laptop but if you wish to use this it must be
booked in advance. If you wish to hire our laptop then
presentations must be sent to us 2 days in advance of the
meeting. Material can be sent by e-mail to audio@royalsoced.org.uk,
or supplied on CD or zipdisk. Please check regarding the
use of other memory formats. |
|
Speakers are asked to
arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the commencement of
the event, so that the audio-visual technician can advise
on the facilities and set up any equipment required. |
